Is it for you?

These are indeed bizarre times in the Real Estate industry. I have been selling real estate for 15 years, have been through several up and down cycles. But I have NEVER seen anything like this. As with most things, there are 2 side to this question: Is this a good time to FIX AND FLIP?

THE PROS

With low interest rates, low prices and huge inventories, now is a great time to buy.

The problem with waiting until the market is at the "bottom" is that you don't know it's the bottom until it starts going up again ! At that time, prices will be up, we know interest rates are going up, and there won't be as many homes to choose from.

It's much better to buy during the downturn.

THE CONS

Money is very tight right now, unless you have excellent credit.

"Flip: HOW TO FIND, FIX AND SELL HOUSES FOR PROFIT" is a great book on the subject by Clay Davis and Rick Vallani. The foreward is written by Gary Keller, bestselling author of "The Millionaire Real Estate Investor" and co-founder of the international Keller Williams real estate company.
